Puerto Vallarta fishing report September 2014
Well We had some rough weather and tropical storms last week but the rest f the month and the last few day’s have been fantastic fishing big Black Marlin and Cubera Snapper fishing at el banco. We have also been catching Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi mahi, and Sailfish. This is the big time Puerto Vallarta fishing season it is only going to get better for the next 2 hopefully 4 months. This is the time of the year when you normally do not need to travel 120 miles offshore to find some big Yellowfin Tuna which is what alot of anglers are looking for when coming to fish in Puerto Vallarta. This last week We have caught several Yellowfin Tuna over 100 lbs at El banco and Corbetena so they are out there just not not biting in great numbers like further offshore.

Puerto Vallarta fishing report August 2014.
Finally the Yellowfin have shown up at Corbetena through out the year the
Yellowfin Tuna bite has been consistent but has been 120 miles offshore this last Monday We finally started to see some life at La Corbetena 36 miles offshore last Monday August 11th there was Schools of Tuna averaging 30-150 lbs. Hopefully We will start seeing some 200 + lb Tuna fish by the end of the week. There has also been Smaller Tuna on the south side of Banderas bay averaging 5-12 lbs but the bite been in the evening between 5pm and 8:30 pm. The Small Tuna have been biting on small Sardines. Now back to offshore the waters at the bank were green on Monday and even further offshore by the Islands but Corbetena was nice and blue with a few boils of Tuna, We also caught Sailfish, and Marlin it really felt like Puerto Vallarta fishing is suppose to in middle of August. Though Sailfish and Marlin have been hot at Corbetena all through the summer it just has not felt the same since the Tuna were biting a 120 miles offshore and a overnight fishing charter was needed to reach some Cow Tuna I am very happy to report You can catch some nice sized Tuna on a 10 or 12 hour day right now.
Puerto Vallarta fishing information
Puerto Vallarta fishing Information.
If you are after a certain game fish in Puerto Vallarta then you definitely want to do a little research before booking Your trip. For Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Yellowfin Tuna You will need to go offshore on a deep sea fishing charter. The 2 hot big game fishing spots in Puerto Vallarta that you can reach on a 1 day fishing trip is 36 miles offshore to Corbetena or 50 miles offshore to el Banco. A Charter 36 miles offshore to Corbetena is typically a 10 hour fishing Charter. A Charter to El banco 50 miles offshore is a full 12 hour day. From late June to late November you catch Blue and Black Marlin and high season is Late July to November the Marlin bite seems more consistent in the hotter months July, August, September, then October and November We do not catch as many but the Marlin We do catch are normally bigger in size of course every year differs a little bit My Favorite is August and September. If you are after Yellowfin Tuna you can catch big Tuna normally all year around but in the last couple years for some reason they have been keeping offshore 80-120 miles so a over night fishing charter is normally necessary. But the Tuna bte is still consistent fishing el banco and el Corbetena in September and October. Sailfish you can also find all year around sometimes right off the point of Banderas bay in Punta de mita and at el morro a rock 22 miles offshore. the best time to catch Sailfish is July through November but truthfully you really have decent shot at Mahi mahi an Sailfish all year around. Wahoo You can find at either Corbetena or el Banco and the best season is September and October.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report August 2014
Well July was great month for Billfish alot of Sailfish and the guy’s finished the month off strong with 3 blue Marlin last week 2 caught outside of el banco and 1 at La
Corbetena. We have also been catching Sailfish and mahi mahi at La Corbetena and el Banco the yellowfin Tuna fishing has been very slow besides a few small 10 pounders inshore other then that if you want to the big cow Yellowfin tunas you need a full 2 and 1/2 to 3/12 day charter 120 miles offshore. Inshore fishing We have been catching Jack Crevalle, Bonitas, Skip jacks, Needlefish, and a few smaller Mahi mahi. Right now offshore Billfishing is what is most hot so if you want a Sailfish or Marlin it is great time to be fishing in Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report June 2014
It has been a great month of Puerto Vallarta fishing We had about 2 weeks where there was Sailfish inside the bay and also 2 Blue Marlin caught inside Banderas bay which is unheard of normally You need to get offshore to find Billfish but if you were a lucky enogh tohave gone out fishing one of these day’s you truly caught a Puerto Vallarta fishing trip of a life time. Our Puerto Vallarta fishery consists of fishing inside Banderas bay or the 1st trip outside the bay you will hit Island Marietas which is 18 miles from the Marina but only about 3 miles off the point of the north side the bay. at Marietas this past month We have been catching Sailfish, Dorado, and Jack Crevalle. all mostly biting on live bait trolling. just past Marietas is El morro where we have been catching basically the same thing day to day will depend on where the hotter bite is the better fishing is the next step up 36 miles off the Puerto Vallarta shore at La Corbetena where We have been catching Blue Marlin, Sailfish, big Dorado, and a few Smaller Yellowfin Tuna. the bigger cow Yellowfin Tuna are still bitiing but 120 miles offshore on our overnight charters. The Yellowfin Tuna 120 miles offshore have been biting live google eye bait, skip jacks, and live squids trolling drifting and also kite fishing.
